Document Checklist for Financial Aid Application
To request LUMS financial assistance, applicants/students must complete the Online Financial Aid application and submit required supporting documents by the specified deadline. It is important that all documents are scanned accurately (via scanner) and uploaded for review by the concerned authority.
Prospective applicants who indicate their intention to apply for LUMS Financial Aid (through the Online Admission Application), submit their admission application, and pay the required application processing fee by the deadline will be granted access to the Financial Aid application. The Financial Aid application tab will be visible on the Online Admission portal once the above requirements are met.
After submitting your application, a Document Checklist will be generated based on the information you provide. Typically, most of these documents are required. However, you will only need to upload the relevant documents as indicated in your financial aid application checklist.
Income:
Employed individuals: Salary slips (last three (3) months)
Retired Parents or Guardians: Pension book, Retirement Order and/or Final Settlement Letter
Self-employed individuals or business owners: Financial statements or income affidavits and business documents, such as a Business Partnership Deed or Business Closure Document (if applicable)
In case your family is supported by a guardian (other than parents)/relative/sibling and/or any organization: Affidavit stating average monthly contribution (in PKR)
Latest Income Tax Returns and Wealth Statement for all earning family members and businesses
Latest Bank statements (covering the last twelve (12) months) for all family members' bank accounts and business accounts
Assets:
Property Ownership/Inheritance documents for fully/partially owned houses, plots, agricultural land, flats, and/or shops. Additionally, include an allotment letter if the current residence is provided by the employer
Rental Lease Agreement if the residence or property is leased for residential or business purposes or leased to another party for income purposes
Saving Certificates/Bonds/Shares/CDC Statement
Insurance Documents (if any)
Vehicle Registration Documents for vehicles used by the family. Additionally, include an allotment letter if the vehicle is provided by the employer
Sale Deed of any assets sold in the past five (5) years
Legal Documents (Court orders, FIRs) if any asset is under litigation or disputed
Expenses and Liabilities:
Latest Fee Receipt & Fee Concession documents from the last institution attended by the applicant/student, siblings or dependents
Latest Utility Bills (Electricity, Gas, Telephone, and Water) for the last three (3) months
Medical Bills and related documents if a family member is suffering from a serious or fatal illness. Also, please provide a brief medical history
Loan Affidavit or Loan Documents for outstanding loans, including loan sanctioning documents and repayment plans
Mortgage or Lease Documents for any property or vehicle leased
Credit Card Statements for the last six (6) months (if applicable)
Miscellaneous:
Domicile Certificate for the applicant
B-Form/CNIC (both sides) for the applicant and parents/guardians
Family Registration Certificate (FRC) entailing the details of the complete immediate family
Divorce/Separation Papers of parents, if applicable
Death Certificate, if applicable
Passport for the applicant and parents/guardians (all 36 pages)
Visa Sponsorship Letter for any sponsored international trips
Photographs of your current residence (both inside and outside views)
Any other document(s) that demonstrate financial need
